The Story

When Hurricane Helene tears through the mountains of North Carolina, former combat medic Sam Jenkins finds himself standing guard at a powerless rural clinic, haunted by ghosts and running on duty alone.

Then Jen Hayes, a no-nonsense midwife with grit and grace, bursts through the door carrying a laboring mother and a storm-shattered mission. Together, in the flicker of failing lights and howling wind, they deliver more than a baby.

But as floodwaters rise and FEMA convoys roll in, they uncover something darker, a covert operation rewriting who lives and who disappears. Between collapsing bridges, armed locals, and a secret unit called the 793rd Psyops Detachment, Sam and Jen must decide whether saving lives means defying orders.
